Sangria For Summer

School is quickly coming to an end and signs of summer fever are everywhere. Little ones rightful yearn to spend ample time outdoors and impromptu play-dates bring frequent visitors into our home.

It’s lovely to find new female friendships through my children and I always hope that heaps of clean laundry aren’t engulfing the dining room table when the kids covertly invite people over during our walks home from school.  I’ve been trying to keep quick appetizers in the fridge and recently stocked up on summertime drinks thanks to Yellow Tail Sangria.

Yellow Tail Sangria Review

In full disclosure, I expected bottled Sangria to taste overtly sweet. I was pleasantest surprised by the light-bodied citrus and red wine mix.  It’s refreshing over ice with an orange or lime garnish and incredibly convenient to have in the house for unexpected guests.  Although it’s delicious to pitcher with diced fruit like traditional homemade Sangria – it’s entirely not necessary since the orange rind, red berry and citrus notes are pronounced.

I spend quite a bit of time behind a computer and am always reminded of the importance of connecting with friends when I have visitors in my home.  And a delicious drink on a hot summer evening always has a way of bringing people together.
