15 Scrumptious Mother’s Day Brunch Recipes

For many mothers, typical weekday mornings are fueled by caffeine, and a quick bite of something available.  For me, this usually consists of a pink-lady apple and a handful of nuts.  I’m excited to continue to contribute to FOODIE by Glam and thought that my recipe collection for the month of May should absolutely focus on scrumptious brunch ideas for Mother’s Day.

Instead of braving an hour-long wait for a Bloody Mary and hearty omelet why not round up the kids and….

  1. Make sure that mama sleeps in!
  2. Surprise her with a delicious family style brunch.

The beauty of brunch is found in the intermingling of foods typically enjoyed throughout all hours of the day.  From hearty meals to lighter fruit dishes tempered with sweet or savory options, my curated collection contains delicious offerings to celebrate the mama figures in your lives.  I can’t wait to replicate some of these dishes in my own home.  Pair these recipes with a tasty drink or champagne and quality time with family for a lovely start to Mother’s Day.

Wishing you all a joy-filled celebration!

12 Italian Pies

Did you all know that Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) – in commemoration of the mathematical constant  π (pi)?  To celebrate, FOODIE by Glam asked me to curate a pie recipe collection, and I knew that I wanted my compilation to reflect my family’s Italian heritage.  My husband is Italian (I’m half-Italian), and I’ve always admired the Italian-mother love that goes into preparing meals and serving them.

When my mother-in-law comes to visit I typically receive a message informing me that she’s bringing a few (a few!) chicken cutlets and other home-made Italian delicacies.  In her love-language, a few equals a ton, resulting in the most amazing leftovers.  Although I strive to replicate, my meals will never taste (or look) as delicious as her culinary creations.  I admire her memorized-dedication to the old recipes, and everyone loves her Ricotta pie.

I think that there’s something in the above collection for every pie-enthusiast.  Some recipes are representative of the “old country” and a few have a bit of an American interpretation.

Buon Apetito!
