Back-To-School Labeling with EPSON || Sunday Swoon

Want to know what I’m not swooning over?

My kids loosing things.

I don’t think that I’ve fully recovered from my daughter wearing a coat to school and coming home without it last year.  And it wasn’t just any coat.  It was beautiful, perfect-for-her, pastel loveliness – hand-picked by her mama.  Sadly, it disappeared.  Then I hastily attacked many interiors of my children’s belongings with a Sharpie (yes, I regret doing that).

Just in time for back-to-school The LabelWorks LW-600P by EPSON entered my life.  It is the first app-enabled label printer on the market.  I simply turned on my iPads Bluetooth connectivity, downloaded the free Epson iLabel app, plugged in the included cable (it also runs on AA batteries) and was good to go!  This brilliantly compact  powerhouse is not only compatible with iOS, but with Android, Windows and OSX.

Espon LabelWorks LW-600P Review

It’s incredibly handy to wirelessly create and print labels.  And unlike my other label makers – this one is designed to not waste printing material.  It’s been fun testing out the numerous fonts – and the included graphics are perfect for schoolchildren. I’ve added hearts, stars, vehicles and fun symbols to my labels while saving my favorites in the in-app storage for future use.  I can even access my camera roll to include photos or images of special artwork.  The “true-view” label preview minimizes errors as I’m able to clearly preview my labels before printing.  It’s even equipped with a handwriting mode for custom drawing or annotation of labels using the touch screen interface.  The device also boasts speech-to-text voice transcription and printing.

With over 100 label design templates and 400 symbols this lightweight device has quickly become my friend this school year.  I’m stocked with iron-on, glow-in-the-dark, metallic reflective tape and ribbons – and have high hopes of the kids’ belongings returning home this year!

Purchase the Epson LW-600P printer at for $99.99.
