Rain Rain You Can Stay || Sunday Swoon Featuring Bogs

The children rushed into my bedroom early last Thursday morning, excited to greet their first school vacation day.  Our plans were squashed by pouring rain that eventually tapered into light drizzles. Thankfully, resilient littles decided that exploring the construction work in the back alley would suffice.

We’ve since experienced more rainy days with the sort of temperatures that truly signify autumn.  The kiddos have greeted puddles and mud in new waterproof footwear from Bogs. We think their awesome.  Here’s why:

  • Designed for kids: I’m working on empowering my children to do for themselves and Bogs built-in-handles allow for easy on and off.  Even my pre-schooler has the process down pat.
  • Bogs are Twofers: The two-in-one (a.k.a twofer) aspect is an ingenious design.  Prior to Bogs – we purchased a pair of rain boots and a pair of clunky snow boots for each child. Since Bogs are constructed with waterproof  Neo-Tech insulation – with comfort ratings up to -30°F – most styles are suitable for rain, snow and mud.
  • Waterproof Insulation: Our previous cozy suede boots were useless in the rain.  Bogs waterproof suede uppers with soft fleece linings, are designed to keep feet warm, dry and comfy – up to 14 °F.
  • Fun Designs: The styles offered for the entire family are amazing.  We found a dino design for my little guy and a versatile, stylish option for the big girl.

We obviously haven’t had a chance to determine how our Bogs will fair in the polar vortex freeze – but are incredibly happy with their functionality in the rain and mud.  Sunday Swoon worthy indeed!
