NYC Dumpling Festival 2015

Calling all dumpling fans! Come and join us at the NYC Dumpling Festival taking place this Saturday, September 26th – which happens to be the first annual National Dumpling Day.

NYC Dumpling Festival

This fun festival offers free admission, but a $20 ticket will accommodate a selection of dumplings from cultures around the world.  From pirogies to potstickers and everything in between – expect offerings from China, Italy, Korea, Poland and more!

With belly dancers and beat-boxers – live cultural performances will be woven throughout the festival – along with a Dumpling Mama mascot, raffles (hello round-trip airfare!), dumpling-making classes, and the highly anticipated Chef One’s 12th Annual Dumpling Eating Contest. Slots to participate in the contest are already at capacity, but be sure to watch along at 1 pm to see who will take home that grand prizes of $2,000 in both the female and male categories.

Interested in how competitive eating is done?  World Famous competitive eater, Takeru Kobayashi will be performing a 30-second demo of dumpling eating before sitting down to serve as a judge in the contest.

Best of all, a ticket purchase provides fun you can feel good about – with 100% of all proceeds from ticket sales directly donated to Food Bank For NYC which warehouses and distributes free food to over 1.5 million hungry New Yorkers each year.
