And They All Screamed For Ice Cream

Our little big girl is officially seven!  She rang in her special day with an ice cream birthday party at the iconic Eddie’s Sweet Shop  in Forest Hills, Queens.

With a goal of keeping things fun and simple we couldn’t think of a more perfect spot than this classic, family-owned ice cream parlor with old school charm.  The kiddos made sand art, ate pizza, and hopped on the shop’s spinning wooden stools to load up on temporary tattoos set up along the parlor’s bar.

Want to know what seven year old’s are really great at? Making their own sundaes!  With over 20+ flavors of homemade ice cream to choice from in addition to sauces and toppings galore – the kiddos all screamed for ice cream.

They were also pretty smitten with shopping for toys and treats with their own Eddie’s sweet shop bills.

  4. Wow-what a spectacular way to have a 7th birthday party!! That truly looks like an old fashioned type ice cream/candy store–the kind you can get lost in for hours on end and then come back for more. There is nothing like home made ice cream and then all those toppings!!!!!!

  5. That looks like a fun way to spend any day, but especially a birthday! Happy belated birthday to her!

  6. That does look like the perfect place to celebrate a birthday! I love that she had a $2 bill (how long since I’ve seen one of those? 🙂 ) and her dress is gorgeous. Happy Birthday to her!
