On Earth Day with Healthy Essentials

This morning I dressed my three-year-old in green clothing for his nursery school earth day celebration.  He has been singing a little song about the earth for the past few weeks, and hearing the lyrics “we are the earth” echo throughout my home move me every single time. His sweet toddler voice reminds me that we must find the collective passion for reducing our footprints.  The reality is, what will Earth Day look like in his adulthood?

Next week marks the 40th celebration of Earth day and I’ve been happy to work with Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. on several campaigns because of their steadfast commitment to environmental issues.  If you’ve been around here before, you may remember my post on their initiative to encourage recycling in the bathroom.  Did you know that you are supposed to remove pumps before tossing containers in the recycling bin?  There is a wealth of information about recycling on their Care To Recycle website.

Johnson & Johnson is also helping consumers to make a difference by raising money and awareness for important causes through one simple act – taking a photo and utilizing the free Donate a Photo App. For every photo shared through Donate a Photo, Johnson & Johnson will donate one dollar to one of its non-profit partners, chosen by the consumer.

In addition, HEALTHY ESSENTIALS® is offering fantastic printable coupons on so many great family-loved products.  Save over $55 by visiting the HEALTHY ESSENTIALS® website in April by signing up for the HEALTHY ESSENTIALS® program coupons and offers.  From Listerine, to Lubriderm and Johnson’s Baby products – savings for the whole family can be found!

I’d love to hear about Earth Day happenings in your communities!

This post is part of the HEALTHY ESSENTIALS®  2014 program by Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. and The Motherhood, who sent me a box of products and compensated me for my time.  Opinions, as always, are my own.

  1. They plant trees at the elementary school. It’s a pity they’re not doing anything at the middle/high school levels here though, seems like that’d be just as important. Your little one singing made me smile, they kiddos do have a way. 🙂

  2. An important message especially now!
