When FOODIE by Glam asked me to curate a collection of Sunday dinner recipes, it seemed only fitting that the collection represent my husband’s and my (partial) Italian lineage, as Sunday dinners are an integral part of Italian Family culture. For many Italian-Americans homemade food represents the importance of family togetherness – bound by a universal ingredient: love. Although we don’t participate in the out-of-state gatherings as much as we like – multicourse Sunday dinners are one of the most endearing and enjoyable family events.
My collection contains hearty and robust meals reflective of several different courses. If you happen to be Italian – there’s most likely a version in own family recipe treasure trove.
Buon Appetito!

I love every single of one of these…and I’ve made my fair share of them! Did you know that fregola is from Sardinia? (where my husband’s from!). It’s delish!
Really? I bet that your versions of all of these dishes are amazing!
My hubby is Italian and I love all the food his family makes. Carbonara is my fave! Amazing. Sunday dinner is a fabulous Italian tradition!
It’s interesting how the Sunday dinner is still a universal thing in so many Italian families. My husband also loves carbonara.
Yummm! I wish I wasn’t on a serious no carb diet! I will definitely hold on to this for when I loose some weight! 🙂 🙂
Yeah – the Italian gatherings are definitely NOT diet friendly! Although I suppose that that issue is an entirely different post!
