Celebrating Lucia Paloma

Being sick on your birthday stinks. Despite the craziness of the day, Lucia did manage a few smiles. She tried on the snow white costume with matching doll dress that her brother gave her, and was happy that Dada made a special trip in the snow storm to purchase purple flowers (per her request).  She was thrilled to have “happy birthday” sung to her many times and she repeatedly blew out her #3 candle. It pained me to see her lick a few globs of frosting off of a cupcake since she was so ill (and hadn’t eaten in two days) but her smile was the best part of the day. Lucia had three friends over a few weeks ago and had fun decorating crowns and taking turns riding on her pony. She also loved having her granny and poppy at her cute little birthday celebration at her preschool. Here’s to health and tons of happiness in her third year of life! We love you darling Lucia and can’t believe that you are now three.

Chri-mas

“Chri-mas” as Lucia calls it, was amazing this year. Spending time with our loving families at Bob’s cousin Kathy’s house on Christmas eve and my fam on Christmas day was perfect. Lucia loved decorating the tree, pretending to be “frosty the snowman”, and seeing holiday decorations all over town. I LOVED watching Bob appear as Santa at Lucia’s school holiday party and we all loved celebrating Adrian’s first Christmas. Special thanks to our wonderful extended family for always making celebrations so joyful, and to my bro Fred for picking up my parents in CT (at the last minute) and driving to us!

Welcome

Welcome to my blog! I think it will mostly be about my kidletts, LP (age 3), AA (7 months) –  and possibly about me, my husband, and other nonsense too. The end.
