It’s no secret that we love a great project. Reinventing, Upcycling, crafting, and sewing make me happy. And my husband, a builder, brings incredibly creative design ideas into our home. I rarely have the chance to learn from the experts, so when an opportunity to work with HGTV Magazine at their second annual Blogger Block Party, came my way, naturally I said YES!
The event took place here in NYC at the beautifully white-washed 404 event space, transformed into a Kaleidoscope of colors. DIY-inspiration was found everywhere, from rainbow color painted steps to creative events and demonstrations.
Highlights included meeting lifestyle expert, Laurie March. She even took out her propane torch to create a beautiful finish on wood during her DIY art presentation as seen in the DIY Network Blog Cabin.
We also had the chance to chat with TV Host and licensed contractor Jason Cameron. In collaboration with Wagner – he made easy paint fixes appear to be a breeze.
Other engaging demonstrations included:
- Editor vs. Blogger Flea Market Flips Challenge featuring Brooklyn Craft Company’s Brett Bara and HGTV Magazine’s Lifestyle Editor Jodi Kahn, presented by Benjamin Moore
- Upcycle & You with green lifestyle expert Danny Seo, presented by Wilsonart
- Designer Downloads with designer Danielle Colding, presented by Stanton Carpet
- Design Trends for 2016 with designer Genevieve Gorder
We checked out other fun interactive events, including:
Terrarium making with Delta.
A Paint Party with Benjamin Moore and so much more!
I’m ready to make something new!
