Sangria For Summer

School is quickly coming to an end and signs of summer fever are everywhere. Little ones rightful yearn to spend ample time outdoors and impromptu play-dates bring frequent visitors into our home.

It’s lovely to find new female friendships through my children and I always hope that heaps of clean laundry aren’t engulfing the dining room table when the kids covertly invite people over during our walks home from school.  I’ve been trying to keep quick appetizers in the fridge and recently stocked up on summertime drinks thanks to Yellow Tail Sangria.

Yellow Tail Sangria Review

In full disclosure, I expected bottled Sangria to taste overtly sweet. I was pleasantest surprised by the light-bodied citrus and red wine mix.  It’s refreshing over ice with an orange or lime garnish and incredibly convenient to have in the house for unexpected guests.  Although it’s delicious to pitcher with diced fruit like traditional homemade Sangria – it’s entirely not necessary since the orange rind, red berry and citrus notes are pronounced.

I spend quite a bit of time behind a computer and am always reminded of the importance of connecting with friends when I have visitors in my home.  And a delicious drink on a hot summer evening always has a way of bringing people together.

  1. I have never had Sangria. Not sure why…it’s not like people don’t make it here. I have just always opted for another drink. I do however, drink Yellow Tail Red Wine. It’s not my favourite, but it’s pretty decent. I will have to look out for their Sangria and give it a try.

  2. I loooove sangria!! I made it once (while studying in France-if you could call it that!) and it was a task! A LOT of chopping an mixing and waiting….I love that this is already prepared and ready to go! We’re having friends over for a BBQ on Sunday and this is the perfect drink to “make” for them ;-)

  3. I love summertime and playdates! Though I have given up on the laundry. My bestie swears by Yellow Tail. Your drinks look delish!

  4. I think it’s those unplanned visits that save my sanity as a mom! As long as I long the other mom that is! I glad I’m not the only one with a laundry problem on my table, but I actually think that’s a sign of being a great mother. I’ll have to test the drink too since we buy other yellow tail wine.

  5. Sangria is a great alternative to regular wine, I prefer to switch drinks up a bit as to not grow tired of one flavor. I will look for it the next time I’m looking for beverages. Thanks.
