Lunch Box Love Notes (Part II)

I had the intention of creating piles of little lunch box love notes to tuck into school lunches (as I did for Lucia last year).  But after having Bob join me in the love note making process, it was decided that he would be the one holding the Crayola markers at night.

Can you guess which side of the pile I made?

Lunch Box Love Notes

Although I think Bob’s Ninjas are a little strange for a preschooler’s lunch box – Adrian definitely LOVES them.  It’s impressive to see what Bob can whip up in a matter of minutes.  I wish that I had that sort of talent.  I’m enjoying tucking a bit of homemade love into coolers and listening to after-school chatter about what picture they found.  It’s often the small gestures that make my kids most happy.

  1. Oh my goodness, Bob is incredibly talented. I love My Little Mermaid and Snoopy. How adorable! I can imagine the delight on Lucia’s face when she sees them.

At school during lunch time, we walk around reading notes from moms and dads to kids as they can’t read it themselves. It is too precious and you are so right, it’s those little things that kids cherish.

  2. Yours are just as pretty! I love slipping notes into the boys’ lunches, I just wish I could see their faces when they unfold and reveal their awesome note from mommy 😉 You are right, it’s the little things! xoxo, Jessica

  3. I like your stick figure angel! The supermarket sells lunch box notes… Why buy them when you can make them?!

  4. I used to do that with my oldest children. No idea when/why I stopped but I’ve been thinking of kicking it up again. I’m sure my high school daughter will love it (buwahhhaa), and I know the little man will. 🙂

I like both sets of drawings. Def. a neat talent Bob has, though. I don’t know many people who can whip that kind of thing up off the cuff

    • I imagine that most naturally would be embarrassed by a note from mom at some point. I’m hoping it won’t happen anytime soon! And seriously, lucia can draw better than I can!

  5. Had to PIN this idea so I wouldn’t forget it when the time came for when our little guy goes to school. I can see how Bob’s ninja would be a hit. That would be something my hubby would draw. This is adorable and definately on the eventual ‘must do’ list.

  6. I loooove this! I can’t wait to do it for my kids. At what age does this become embarrassing for them?! lol!

  7. This is such a sweet idea. I’ve seen them in the supermarket too. Your husband has some serious talent!

  8. You have an incredibly artisitc family. I see that your husband can draw..but can he sew?!
